Be the rock that makes a ripple

November 18, 2012

Is there anything better than watching God show up and show off?  Is there anything better than hearing Him say “go ahead…test Me and see if I won’t do more than you can ask or imagine…”…and then doing it only to see Him do exactly that?

Ten months ago I launched Project Jubilee.  It was daunting.  I knew in my mind that it wasn’t impossible, but I also knew I could not accomplish it on my own.  God was going to have to provide for me and through others.  He was going to have to move the hearts of His people to join me to make this happen.

And though we’re not at the end yet, it is happening.

Original goal: $4500.  This is the amount the International Justice Mission needs to do a rescue mission that will remove individuals from a slavery situation and shut down the operation.

Currently raised: $3840.  We have $460 left to go.  We’re 85% of the way to the goal!

It is not too late to join in.  It’s not to late to be part of something far bigger than yourself.  Every contribution, no matter what amount, makes you a partner in someone else’s freedom.

And really…isn’t that something you’d like to be able to say of yourself?

Participating in Project Jubilee would bless me.  After all, it’s my jubilee year, and it’s soon coming to a close!  But somewhere right now there is someone else who has probably given up hope that their life will ever change.  They have resigned themselves to abuse.  They are losing hope they will ever cease being tired or hungry or ill.  Let’s bless them.  Let’s give so that God’s heart for them will find expression on their behalf.

Freedom.
