Who Is Sparky?
My name is Lisa.
Lots of females my age are named Lisa. It was the most popular baby name the year I was born. The year before, too. And the year after. In fact, the name Lisa was on the top ten list of baby names for twelve years straight. There’s nothing uncommon about my name, that’s for sure.
And my life? I’m a wife, a mom, an artist, a Jesus Freak, a cook, a referee of living room fights, a scrubber of mystery stains, a nail polish enthusiast, a despiser of black walnuts and cilantro, a math dork, a lover of fiery hot spicy foods, an introvert who’s easily bored, a freedom fighter, a reader and a writer, a remover of splinters, and an avid taker of naps. The stuff daily life is made of. Nothing all that uncommon, at least in the individual elements.
And yet…there’s only one me, and I’ve found over the years that I don’t exactly see life in a common manner, and I usually don’t talk about it in common ways.
So my name is Lisa. This is my blog. We’ll talk about whatever it’s time to talk about.
And it’s always time for something!
So, you like spicy food? In that case, are you coming to Ladies Night this Saturday? Thai food, baby. I wanna see you sweat.
I wonder how hot something would have to be to make me sweat?
let me ask you….just how can you hate cilantro…shame on you!!!!
I want to like cilantro. I really do. I have set my will to like cilantro, but my taste buds trump my will every time on this one. If anyone knows any tips on how to get yourself to love something you hate, toss them my way!
For cilantro, it must, must, MUST be completely masked by salsa. Where habaneros and cilantro meet and ketchup and garlic mask and tomatoes and onions UNITE! :0) You should give it a try.
I love your site. Keep it up !
Haha…no, you can’t mask the taste of Cilantro…in fact, you have to put Cilantro in Salsa….in hamburgers…in Fiesta Chicken Soup….in….well, you get the idea! The more the better!! Then add some Cumin…a little piece of heaven!!
Ugh…cumin. The other seasoning I don’t like! I can take small amounts of it, but once it becomes a predominant flavor, YUCK!
Ahhhhhh….says Vicky as she passes out in disbelief on the floor… Cumin, Lisa, Lisa, Lisa! I spose you don’t like Curry either…. {{No way}}
I’m very picky about curry. Alan makes a killer good seafood curry that I would nearly sell a kid for, but I’ve not had a lot of other curries I like.
As you can imagine, I am not wild about Indian cuisine.
Hi, nice to meet you !
acrylic nail polish are the best stuff that you can use when polishing your nails,~,
