Pardon my dust…

January 26, 2009

It’s time to open the doors!

This blog is under construction.  I really meant to have the walls painted and fresh flowers in a vase on the coffee table before I invited anyone in, but the reality is if I wait for that, it might be October before I’m ready to make this place public, at which point one might as well wait for the new year, and before you know it a year has gone by and you can’t even remember your own blog address and once you forget your blog address you are only steps away from forgetting your house address and that is when they find you wandering around downtown in a disheveled muumuu and fuzzy house slippers, mumbling something about the lavender kangaroo.  I don’t want that to happen, so I’m just going to open the doors now.  I’m not a formal sort of person anyway.

But I hope I never get so informal that muumuus are acceptable attire, even in the privacy of my own home.  The day I start dressing like Mrs. Roper is the day my kids have permission to find me a nice secure Home.

This isn’t really a themed blog.  I’m not going to talk exclusively about the news or coupon sites or my neurotic pets or Jesus or my wacky kids or recipes or what I really think of cilantro, though it’s all bound to come up sooner or later, and almost certainly ad nauseum.  Day by day, moment by moment, I figure to talk about whatever it’s time to talk about.   And it’s always time for something!

Ohh, this is a too awesome way to keep abreast of your EXTREMELY humorous writing. And one day you will be a famous author and I will be able to say I READ YOU HERE FIRST. And it’s a decent substitute for a Christmas letter =)

Yeah, the Christmas letter situation is kind of pathetic, huh? I always MEAN to…
