Strike a match

September 2, 2013

There are days.  You know…those days.

And there are disappointments.  Times when “why bother?” comes in like a flood.

“Don’t you know the world is getting darker?” they said.

And I think no, I don’t know that it’s getting darker.  I think the dark is just getting louder.  And it’s making ugly faces and trying hard to be really scary.

I feel sad that those who squawk the most about it getting darker are usually those who are charged with being a shining city on a hill.  You know…a dwelling place of light.  I don’t understand laying down hope and joy to pick up fear and paranoia and powerlessness.

The truth is that dark is actually very easy to spoil.  A single match can spoil an cavern of darkness.

Want in on a secret?  I’ve read the end of the book.  Dark may get in some licks, but it is inherently weaker than light.

And in the end, Light wins.

Lisa-I love, love, love this! I have been revived and want nothing but more but the Holy Spirit, and to love and minister to people who need the Lord!
