Unquenchable

March 19, 2015

But if I say, “I will not mention his word
or speak anymore in his name,”
his word is in my heart like a fire,
a fire shut up in my bones.
I am weary of holding it in;
indeed, I cannot.

Jeremiah 20:9

A person with smoldering bones

should probably not

guzzle kerosene.

But any person with

smoldering bones

knows that nothing else will do.

The burning is

hope and pain,

desire and surrender,

fire that screams

to be fought with fire

until all lesser loves flee

and the

Refiner dances with joy

in the golden light.

    Living sacrifice. Painful but glorious.
    Bless you once again :)
