September 6, 2020

I used to think I wanted to see it all,

eyes wide open all day long,

but that was before I stepped out of the shadows

and into a head-on collision with the sun.

In one piercing moment

I was knocked off my high horse,

face down in the dirt,

too stunned

too shaken

too awed

to move.

Now I have been blinded by the Light–

blinded to hopelessness,

unable and unwilling to see despair

as a viable option

even when its razor teeth are clenched around my ankle

and the air vibrates with its growl.

The God in you never ceases to amaze me! You are so beautiful in His Light! Even in the intensity, there’s a great Peace when your spirit and His aligns…

Thank you, Kellie…that is an amazing and beautiful encouragement to me. May I carry peace in every situation…may God’s presence always speak a higher word than any human experience that might seem to contradict it. ❤️

This morning I sang an old song, the chorus is ‘I stand in awe of You” He reminded me that’s the answer to all this stuff – to constantly remember to stand in awe so we can hear His voice above and in every circumstance. Blinded by His Light

Yes! I am increasingly convinced that awe and wonder are far more important keys than most folks believe, and they open doors most don’t even know (or believe) exist.
